This video is the product of an Artistic Residence “FRONTIERS MÉXICO 2010” which considered the need of taking art as a transforming element of society. With this goal in mind, during one month 40 artists from Mexico and from several other countries, conducted workshops for children from vulnerable communities. The Tlaxcaltecan Poet Enrique Leonar and myself, went to the Indian School Ve’e Saa Kua’a to conduct a workshop on “PHOTOPOETRY”. One of the classrooms was turned into the dark room, proposing a relationship between the poetic of the photographic image of the dark camera (built with bottle can porque eran de lata? caps), and the poetry created by the participants. This project was developed in July 2010 in Tijuana, Baja California, México.
