Exhibition "Identities" at El Nogal Galery, show made wit the artist Santiago Forero, under the curatorship of Carlos García, between June 12 to July 4, 2019.

Curatorial text:

"For his part, the work Numina of Juan Alonso, from 2019, is interested in addressing in his photographs, the Latin American identity expressed in the mix between cultural syncretism and the religious sphere. His images of saints, historical figures or popular characters merge the surreal and the profane at the same time. The use of photosculpture alludes to the disposition of these characters in the windows of religious warehouses.

Both Forero and Alonso determine their productions in relation to their own body and identity. His mises en scène assume a particular symbolic charge in which humor and perception, as well as diversity and hybridization are present".
